The Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant was inaugurated on 27 April 2023 with the delivery of the first nuclear fuel to the plant site. It's currently the largest nuclear construction project in the world and the largest Russian-Turkish project.
ROSATOM CEO Alexey Likhatchev and IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi confirmed that the 1st power unit will be commissioned very soon.
